PURPOSE:To prevent any useless electrical power consumption and water discharge caused by a releasing of a hot water supply port and a troubled safety valve by a method wherein a hot water supply is provided with a total accumulated amount of water for converting a signal at a flow rate sensing part into an amount of water and adding it and a control part for closing an electrically driven water supply valve in case that the total accumulated water amount at the total accumulated water amount part exceeds a predetermined amount of water. CONSTITUTION:A flow rate sensing part 11 is arranged between a water supplying port 4 and an electrically driven water supply valve 5 so as to detect a flow rate of water flowing into a tank 1. A water amount conversion part 12 may convert this flow rate signal into a pulse and then a total accumulated water amount 13 may add the number of pulses. A predetermined water amount storage part 14 may store in advance a proper amount of water in reference to a stored amount of water in the tank 1. A comparator 15 may compare a value of this predetermined amount of water storage part 14 with a counted value in the total accumulated water amount part 13. In case that a value in the total accumulated water amount part 13 is larger than that of the predetermined water amount value, the comparator may output 'close' signal for the electrically driven water supply value 5. An output part 16 may receive the 'close' signal at this comparator 15 and 'close' the electrically driven water supply valve 5. 2 denotes a heater, 3 denotes a hot water supply port, 6 denotes a safety valve, 7 denotes a water discharge port and 8 denotes a water discharge valve, respectively.
