The specification describes a method of erecting a building roof which comprises constructing the roof while on the ground and lifting it into position onto load bearing columns. A roofing assembly capable of being used in the method is also described. The assembly comprises a frame, roof cladding elements and ceiling elements. The assembly is so designed that it is capable of being assembled on the ground and lifted into position using transportable lifting means such as chain blocks or mobile cranes. |
