A miniaturized television camera on the outer side of which a ring-shaped illuminator is provided coaxially and unitarily therewith, in which the light emitted circularly from the illuminator is changed into light having a comparatively large number of parallel components by a ring lens provided ahead of the illuminator, the resultant light being introduced into a cylinder lens provided ahead of the ring lens, this light being sent out as lateral illuminative light from an end portion of a flange the front end portion of which is bent inward, the light leaking from the side surface of the cylinder lens and the light reflected on the surface of the skin being reflected on a hood, which is provided in a cleareance between the front end of the camera and the cylinder lens, and which has a reflective outer surface, to produce downwardly directed scattered light, whereby the surface, which has a complicated shape, of the skin can be observed. |
