The heart rate (322) is determined by a surface electrocardiogram device (320) and recorded by the 8-channel FM tape recorder (326). The blood pressure (318) is similarly measured (316) using an intra-arterial catheter or continuous non-invasive blood pressure transducer and recorded. The data is then analyzed using a computer (328).
