<p>An electronic trap (10) for flying insects. Insects such as flies are attracted to the trap by a UV light source (22) and then alight on a conductive grid (30) with carefully spaced alternative areas of opposite potential (40, 38). A pulsed cycle of electricity stuns the insects, which then dive down to a trap (26) at the bottom of the device and, being entrapped, die.</p> |
