NEW MATERIAL:A cyclic peptide of formula I (Cys is cysteine; Val is valine; d-Phe is d-phenylalanine; Pro is proline; Cyclo means cyclic), or formula II (Ph is phenyl). USE:Anti-fungus agents. Giving high oxidation-reduction potential, thus also useful as a ligand for metal cluster complexes for medicines or functional materials. PREPARATION:For example, a cysteine-protected peptide of formula III (Boc is t-butyloxycarbonyl; Acm is acetamidemethyl; Me is methyl) is formed through the successive extension process while repeating the protection and protection- removal of the polar groups of constituent amino acids, and converted into its azide derivative followed by reaction with a synthetic block as the other partner, made up of protective peptide hydrochloride, of formula IV, thus obtaining the objective cyclic peptide of the formula I. |
