<p>An appliance such as a laundry drier or a washer-drier is fitted with a separating device (12) comprising relative motion elements (14, 15) mounted in its trough (2), which divide the enclosure of the latter in a gas-tight manner into two distinct spaces (10, 11). The separating device (12) comprises, at the level of the junction of its elements (14, 15), a first (14) of these elements (14) provided along the edge of its opening (17) with a circular gutter or groove (30) open on the side of the centre of said opening, which acts as a reservoir for a liquid (31), forming an annular liquid joint (28, 28a), and a second of these elements (15, 44) provided with a projecting circular edge (23) inserted in the circular gutter or groove of the first element (30), which does not touch the walls of the gutter or groove and which is immersed along its whole length in the liquid (31) of the annular liquid joint (28, 28a).</p> |
