The device is fitted to the vertical edge of a door (4) and the adjacent doorjamb (5), on the side of the hinges. It consists of an elongated rigid or semi-rigid piece which defines two thin marginal strips (2, 2') designed to be fitted on the doorjamb (5) and on the door (4), respectively, and a central region of variable geometry (1, 1') which can change from an at least relatively flat configuration when the door (4) is closed to a deployed configuratio when the door (4) is open. Before assembly, the device has a flat configuration and the thin marginal strips (2, 2') are preferably positioned in the rebate (5a) of the doorjamb (5) and on the part (4a) opposite the vertical edge of the door (4), so that when the door (4) is closed, these thin marginal strips (2, 2') are concealed. |
