<p>A training and exercise device for applying a force against a resisting force, such as a weight stack (12), includes an upstanding frame (20), a rotatable arm (16) supported by the frame at a first end for rotation about the frame in a horizontal plane and a force receiving device (18) communicating with the arm for receiving force applied by a user. The force receiving device is longitudinally slidable along the arm to cause force to be applied against the resisting force when the force receiving device is pushed horizontally along the arms towards the frame. A cable (14) connects the force receiving device to the resisting force and is attached at a first end to the resisting force. A grasping device (104) is attached to the second end of the cable. The force receiving device includes a pair of handles which may be rotated about an axis perpendicular to the longitudinal horizontal axis of the arm.</p> |
