1526101 Crop harvesting header SPERRY RAND CORP 21 Jan 1976 [24 Jan 1975] 02257/76 Heading A1F A crop harvesting header 14 is suspended floatingly each side of a frame 12 by an assembly 16 comprising a link 18, pivoted to the header at 20 and a lower frame portion at 22, and an arm 24, pivoted to an upper frame portion at 26 and the header at 32 and coupled at 36 to a spring 34 which has a lower end coupled to the lower frame portion at 38. On operation of a hydraulic cylinder 42, the lower frame portion, including a wheel supporting arm 50, pivots about an axis 52 relative to the upper frame portion, including a side structure 46, to raise the header to an inoperative position (Fig. 2). Alternatively, the frame portions are relatively fixed and a hydraulic cylinder, connected between the lower frame portion and a support member, which is pivoted to the upper frame portion, is operated to force the support member against the underside of the arm portion 28 to cause clockwise pivoting of arm 24 and hence lifting of the header. A flexible floor 60 is pivoted to the header about a transverse axis 62 and links 66, pivoted to the floor and secured to the links 18, ensure that the edge 68 is maintained in a position to deliver crop to the bite between transverse conditioning rollers 58.
