<p>A gyrocompass consisting of an inclinometer (5) that detects the inclination of the rotary shaft of a gyro-rotor with respect to the ground, a horizontal shaft torque application devices (4) that applies torque around the horizontal shaft (3e) of the rotor, a vertical shaft torque application device (6) that applies torque around the vertical shaft (3a) of the rotor, a storage means (15) of stationary inclination angle that stores the rotor inclination angle at the stationary time of the gyrocompass, and an inclination rectification control means that controls the vertical shaft torque application device to rectify the inclination of the rotor to the inclination angle at the stationary time, whereby the short period stationary performance of the gyrocompass can be largely improved.</p> |
