The assembly is for processing prods. has a conveyor and devices for treating the prods..The assembly possesses a primary (1) and a secondary (15,26,38) transporter next to which one processor (16,30) is placed. Readout units and transfer mechanisms selectively transfer the prods. from the primary to the secondary transporters. Further transfer mechanisms and intermediate transporters are provided for sending prods. back from the secondary transporter to the first, after passing the related processor. A number of secondary transporters are linked in parallel with corresp. processors to perform the same treatment to a prod. of a certain class, e.g. weight class.
