A transport and storage barrel (1) for beverages has a thin-walled internal pressure-tight bladder (2) made of stainless steel sheet and surrounded by a shell (3) of polyurethane foam. The bladder has a rotational symmetry but the shell is polygonal with thicker columns (7) at the edges (6). The bottom of the bladder can have a central dome-shaped rise (5), approaching the bottom end of a drainage tube. Ribs (10) are arranged across the sides. The hollows (20) can be used to store accessories. ADVANTAGE - This facilitates stacking and storing as well as gives adequate strength.
