PURPOSE:To omit a current limiting reactor by splitting a stator winding, and parallely connecting the windings to a power source system. CONSTITUTION:The stator winding of an induction generator 1 is split into two stator windings 1a, 1b to form a parallel circuit. When the generator 1 is started in parallel with other power source system L, the split winding 1a of the generator 1 is first energized previously in parallel. In this case, when the reactance of the generator 1 becomes twice as large as that at the time of normal operation if the influence of mutual reactance of the generator 1 is ignored. Accordingly, a momentary voltage-drop at the time of start of parallel operation can be suppressed. Therefore, the winding 1b is connected in parallel therewith to complete parallel connection to the power source system L of the generator 1. Even in this case, since the winding 1a connected in parallel previously is not disconnected, the rush current can be reduced, and the momentary voltage-drop is suppressed. Thus, a current limiting reactor can be omitted.
|
