A handy-size electronic rule comprises a rule unit including a graduated member (21f) and a slider member (21b) supported by the graduated member and movable therealong, an electronic measuring unit (34) for deciding a distance between two target points depending upon a length overwhich the slider member is moved, and an electronic calculating unit (21i) for calcurating a ratio of a first distance to a second distance, and the first and second distances are decided by the electronic measuring unit and automatically supplied thereto, so that the ratio is given without any error in data input.
