Mutant Bacillus thuringiensis endotoxin proteins, exhibiting the characteristic insecticidal activity shown by the wild type delta -endotoxins. At each individual point of mutation it is indicated that the codons coding for any other natural amino acid can be substituted to produce active endotoxin protein.
