PURPOSE:To reproduce a video signal to see a picture on the reception side before completion of transmission of all of the video signal by thinning and transmitting the video signal in time division and reproducing omitted parts by interpolation and successively transmitting left parts. CONSTITUTION:The transmission side is provided with an A/D converter 2, a time division circuit 3, and data buffers 41 to 43, and the reception side is provided with data buffers 91 to 93 and an interpolating circuit 10, and the video signal is processed as digital data on the transmission side and is thinned and transmitted in time division, and finally, all of the video signal is transmitted. On the reception side, omitted parts are interpolated by received data. Thus, rough picture information is temporarily reproduced in a short time to confirm the whole of the image of the picture, and thereafter, pictures of higher definition are successively reproduced according as the time elapses. |
