PURPOSE: To transmit force from a buckle to the vehicle body by providing a seat belt buckle having a base plate, a cable having a loop part between both ends and both parallel extending end portions, and a transmitting member for transmitting the force applied to the buckle to the cable. CONSTITUTION: When an occupant is moved forward against a waist belt webbing 48 in an accent or the like, tension is transmitted from the belt webbing 48 through a tongue part 46 and a buckle 44 to a buckle base plate 60. After that, the tension is transmitted to a rivet 62 fitted to the base plate 60, transmitted to a fitting plate 56 through a cable 58 and further transmitted to the vehicle body. The base plate 60 includes a pair of flanges 66, 68 and the both side parts of the loop 74 of the cable 58 are stored in grooves of flanges 66, 68. When the rivet 62 is once fitted to the base plate 60, the flanges 66, 68 hold a cable 58 for the rivet 62, and the cable 58 is fixed not to be moved from the rivet 62. |
