Booth for sand-blasting glass - has magnetic coupling from outside to allow manipulation of gun without need for aperture
摘要
The conventional booth for sandblasting glass has an aperture to allow the operator to manipulate the gun with the result that dust can escape from the booth. The booth (1) has no aperture but instead the gun (4) is moved to sandblast the glass panel (13) by a magnetic coupling between the gun and a handgrip (7). The front wall (2) of the booth is made of glass and the magnetic coupling derives from the magnets (6). To reduce friction the mountings for the grip and gun are supported against the glass by air cushions (12), a seal being provided by the brushes (5). The weight of the gun is balanced by a system of counterbalance weights and cables (32).
