<p>A structural gene of defined sequence (1368 bases) is new, and codes for tyrosine phenol-lyase (EC 4.1.99.2) (456 amino-acid residues). Also claimed are plasmids contg. the gene, pref. located downstream of a promoter sequence such as tac; E coli transformants contg. the plasmids; and a method for production of the enzyme by culture of the transformant organisms. Specifically claimed are plasmid pFY12, and E coli MT-10488 (FERM BP-2616) containing it.</p> |
