<p>A magnetic bearing device comprises a movable member (1) disposed between first and second supporting members (2, 3) provided with a first coil (7) and a second coil (14), respectively. A detector (29) detects the position of the movable member (1) between the supporting members (2, 3). A switching circuit (32) switches the direction of current applied to the coils (7, 14) in accordance with an output signal from the detector (29) so as to maintain the movable member (1) out of contact of either supporting member (2, 3).</p> |
