Conveying device for collecting contaminants from free water

A conveying device is proposed which serves to collect contaminants from free water, in particular for picking up oil and/or oil binding agents. The conveying device comprises a drivable conveying drum which partly plunges into the body of water to be cleaned and is mounted in a freely movable manner according to the float principle. The contaminants stick to the surface of the rotating conveying drum and are conveyed by means of a skimmer into a collecting basin.
