PURPOSE:To use the title sheet in a packing material or an underlay as a cushion material by coating all of knitting yarns with a foamed resin so as not to close large stitch intestices but to close small stitch interstices and forming foamed projections on said small stitch interstices. CONSTITUTION:A foamable resin composition is applied to the entire surface of a warp knitting net used as a core material using a spray coater or a roll coater and foamed. At this time, the foamable resin composition is difficult to accumulate in large stitch interstices 11 to remain as interstices as it is but easy to accumulate in small stitch interstices 12 to be applied herein in large quantities to close the stitch interstices 12 and foamed to form large foamed projections 14. As a result, a net like sponge sheet 15 wherein the large stitch interstices 11 become opening parts 16 and are surrounded by the foamed projections 14 is obtained. Knitting yarns 13 are interposed in the foamed projections 14 connecting the opening parts 16 as a core material and the projections 14 reinforced by said knitting yarns 13 are reinforced by the foamed resin to connect respective braid like chain stitches 17 extending to a wale direction and, therefore, this sheet is not extended and shrunk even at high temp. and is hard to rupture even when the surface thereof is rubbed. |
