On the sender circuit (9) of the opto coupler (8) there is coupled via a controlled switch (14), a capacitor (6). The capacitor (6) is charged up via the receiver circuit (5) of a further opto coupler (1), whose send circuit (2) lies on the load side. Pref. the controllable switch (14) is a FET, and the actuator (11) includes semiconductor elements. The actuator may be a signal producing device. USE/ADVANTAGE - Telephone-operated device. Allows reliable operation with full isolation even when highest allowable current from line is less than that needed to actuate device.
