The time switch is switched from its rest position into the working position in response to a start signal and remains in this position for a defined switch time(T). The light exhibits its full brightness card (H) over the major portions (TI) of the switch time (T), followed by an internal (T2) covering the of the switch time (T), during which the brightness level is contin-iously reduced to gas, unless a new start signal is received. Pref. the reduction of the light brightness level is effected via a current regulator and an associated phase chopping control. USE/ADVANTAGE - Lighting stairways only, when in use. Provides visual warning before light is switched off.
