摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To obtain a display device which operates at a low voltage and has high display quality and high accuracy by connecting a capacitor which has capacity larger than the electrostatic capacity of a picture element to one termi nal of a TFT. CONSTITUTION:One-terminal sides of capacitors 4a - 4d are connected to one- driving-terminal sides of TFTs 6a - 6d and earth lines 2b and 2d are connected to the other-terminal sides of the capacitors. Picture element electrodes 3a - 3d are connected to the other-terminal sides of the TFTs 6a - 6d. When the TFT 6a is turned on, a voltage Va applied to a picture element 5a is shown by equation I. In the equation, VD1 is a driving voltage, CA the electrostatic capacity of a picture element A, and CO the electrostatic capacity of the capacitor 4a, and CO>=CA is set. Consequently, the voltage Va applied to the picture element 5a becomes >=Vd1/2 and the driving voltage is reduced.</p>
