<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the kick back of a handle which is transmitted from wheels by letting a pinion shaft be relatively rotated toward a handle shaft, and thereby letting a cam member be engaged with an outer wheel and the cam engaging faces of the pinion shaft in order to stop the whirl of the pinion shaft. CONSTITUTION:When the actuating force of a handle 6 is less than set torque, its rotation is transmitted to an actuating shaft 4 so as to let wheels be steered. When the actuating force of the handle exceeds set torque, a handle shaft 7 is rotated relatively against the actuating shaft 4 until there exists no gap to the rotating direction so that both of the shafts are engaged with each other to the rotating direction in order to transmit the rotation of the shaft 7 to tue shaft 4. In addition, when great torque is transmitted from an axle shaft to the actuating shaft 4 so that rotation instantly occurs, the actuating shaft 4 is rotated relatively against the handle shaft 7 so that a cam member 15 is engaged with an outer wheel 2 and the cam engaging surfaces 8 and 9 of the actuating shaft 4. In this case, since the outer wheel 2 is fixed onto a housing 1, it prevents the actuating shaft 4 from being whirled, thereby transmitting no rotation at all from the actuating shaft 4 to the handle shaft 7 while preventing kick back therein.</p> |
