<p>Aromatic carboxylic acid derivatives of formula (I) are new; where R1 and R2 are H, halogen, 1-6C alkyl, halogenated 1-6C alkyl, 1-6C alkanoyl, 3-8C cycloalkyl, nitro, amino, -O-D-R5, phenoxy (opt. substd. by halogen or 1-6C alkyl), phenyl-(1-6C alkyl)-amino (opt. substd.), or carboxy-(2-8C alkenyl); or R1/R2 together may be 1-4C alkylenedioxy; R3 is H, -E-R6, -CO-G-R7, benzoyl (opt. substd. by 1-4C alkylenedioxy, halogen or 1-6C alkyl), 2-6C alkenyl, carbamoyl, phenyl or halophenyl; R4 is H or 1-6C alkyl; A is 1-6C alkylene, (3-8C cycloalkyl)-(2-6C alkylen) or alkylene; B is 1-6C alkylene or 2-6C alkenylene; D is 1-6C alkylene; R5 is H, amino, morpholino, carboxy, phthalimido, phenyl or oxiranyl; E is 1-6C alkylene; R6 is H, carboxy, CN, OH, phenyl-(1-6C alkoxy), phenyl, halophenyl, phenylcarbamoyl or halophenylcarbamoyl; G is 1-6C alkylene; R7 is H, carboxy, phenylcarbamoyl or halophenylcarbamoyl; m is 0 or 1.
