Benzamide derivs. of formula (I) and their salts are prepared. In (I) , R1 and R2= lower alkyl; R3= lower alkoxy, C3-5 alkenyloxy, C3-7 cycloalkoxy or C3-7 cycloalkyl lower alkoxy; R4= halo; R5= cyano. Pref. R1 and R2= C1-4 alkyl; R3, at 2 position, =C1-4 alkoxy; R4, at 4 position, =F, Cl or Br; CN is at 5 position. (I) are useful in human and veterinary medicine for treatment and prevention depression and schizophrenia. |
