PURPOSE:To obtain an information recording medium having a high reflectance and excellent in record regeneration sensitivity by conducting a glow discharge process on the surface of a polycarbonate resin base and then by applying a specific pigment layer-forming application liquid on said base and drying said liquid to form a recording layer. CONSTITUTION:A glow discharge process is conducted on the surface of a polycarbonate resin base and then a pigment layer-forming application liquid obtained by dissolving imidazoquinoxaline pigment expressed by formula [I] [in which Z<1>, Z<2> and R<1>, R<2>, R<3> express alkyl group, aryl group, alkenyl group or these groups having substituents; Q expresses N or C-R<4> (R<4> expresses hydrogen atom, alkyl group or aryl group); X<-> expresses negative ion; G expresses a group for connecting with N-R<3> to form 5 or 6 member ring; L expresses a trivalent group formed by methine group or three, five or seven methine groups which are connected with each other to form a conjugated double bond] in an organic solvent is applied on said base and dried to form a recording layer to manufacture an information recording medium. |
