PURPOSE:To improve gradation reproducibility and durability by incorporating a binder resin consisting of polyester having the sum of the acid value and hydroxyl value in a specific range and wax into a toner and forming a carrier of a resin coated carrier formed by coating the surface of magnetic material particles with a resin. CONSTITUTION:The polyester to be used as the binder resin of the toner is the polyester obtd. by bringing a monomer molding contg. tervalent or higher valency monomer and polymer, arom. dicarboxylic acid, and aliphat. dialcohol. The binder resin consisting of the specific polyester which is mentioned above and in which the sum of the acid value (AV) and the hydroxyl value (OHV) is 30 to 80 and the wax are incorporated into the toner to form the toner. In addition, the carrier is the resin coated carrier formed by coating the surface of the magnetic material particles with the resin. The destruction of the toner particles and the destruction of the resin coated layer of the carrier is prevented in this way. The gradation reproducibility and the durability are improved in this way. |
