PURPOSE:To produce a dielectric ceramic composition having high dielectric constant and small crystal particle size by preparing a composition with BaO, TiO2 and GdO3/2 at specific ratios. CONSTITUTION:The objective dielectric ceramic composition is expressed by the general formula xBaO-yTiO2-zGdO3/2 (x+y+z=1.00) wherein x, y and z fall within the molar ratio range defined by the points a, b, c and d shown in the table. The obtained composition has high dielectric constant and a dielectric capacitance-temperature characteristics satisfying the specification of the class Y, character F of JIS specification. Since the crystal particle diameter can be decreased to about 5-10mum, the size of the product can be reduced and the dielectric capacity can be increased by thinning the thickness of the dielectric. |
