<p>A power steering comprises comprises an electric motor (7) for assisting steering, a sensor (3) for detecting steering torque, means for detecting vehicle speed (12) or rotation speed of an engine (13) a resistance (960) for limiting electric current to be supplied to the electricmotor (7) and a relay (961) being connected in parallel to the resistance. The relay opens when the vehicle is running at high speed, that is, vehicle speed or rotation speed is larger than a predetermined value, limits current to be supplied to the electric motor (7) by the resistance (960) reduces torque generated by the electric motor and makes it easier for a driver to correct the steering operation or to avoid a danger in case of a malfunction.</p> |
