Leakage path for charge carriers - on cover panels off solar generators joined by conductive adhesive

A fitment on solar generators prevents static charges from accumulating between conductive surfaces and a carrier structure. The covering glass panes have on top and along the faces a conductive lining. Between these faces and the connectors of the solar cells, a non-transparent conductive adhesive joins these components conductively. A connector (1) which is partly covered together with the solar cell (2) by a cover glass pane (6) has a bow (3) to absorb thermally induced movements. Top and faces (5) of this pane (6) are coated with indium-tin oxide (11). The gap between the faces (5) and the tab (4) of the connector is filled with a conductive substance such as an adhesive (7) of conductive elastic silicone rubber to act as a leakage path for charge carriers. ADVANTAGE - This dissipates static charge carriers from the surface of the cover panes without changing the resistance figures for electrically connected components.
