<p>A multilayer substance material which forms a barrier to chemical agents and which comprises a base layer 12 of nonwoven polypropylene laminated to one side of a multilayer film layer 14 having a film of ethylene vinyl alcohol installed as a sandwich between nylon film and having a surface film of linear low-density polyethylene bonded to the outer nylon film and laminated to the other side of a multilayer film layer 16 having a central film of polyvinylidene chloride, an inner film of polyvinyl acetate and an outer film of low-density polyethylene. Substance materials having this structure exhibit resistance, for 8 hours, to breakthrough by all the 15 chemical agents which are listed in ASTM F1001 chemical testing procedures.</p> |
