PURPOSE: To eliminate the need for a special interface with a private branch of exchange and a central telephone station by allowing a computer connecting to an exchange system to distribute an incoming connection call to a plurality of telephone agent stations and to assign an outgoing connection call to agents. CONSTITUTION: This method includes a plurality of agent stations 120 and an agent call management device separated from the exchange system, and the agent call management device includes a computer 101 connecting to an ISDN central station exchange 110 via an ISDN digital subscriber line 104. The computer 101 receives data specifying call processing information exchanged between the system and the stations from the exchange system, replies an incoming connection call leading to a directory assigned to the computer based on the data, selects any station to process the call, sends an ISDN message to identify the station selected by the exchange system corresponding to the call and allows the exchange system to connect the call to the selected station.
