PURPOSE:To economically obtain aminopeptidase by culturing microorganism belonging to genus Escherichia using method of gene engineering. CONSTITUTION:A DNA having genetic information relating to generation of aminopeptidase-N is extracted from a fungus of genus Escherichia having DNA coding aminopeptidase, e.g., Escherichia.coli HB 101 fungus to obtain a plasmid integrated of said DNA, then resultant plasmid is introduced into a microorganism of genus Escherichia, thus a recombinant microorganism having enhanced aminopeptidase-N activity is selected from said microorganisms. Resultant microorganism is cultured to afford the aimed aminopeptidase in high yield. |
