<p>The invention concerns a hydraulic device used for the operation of cargo hatchway covers on ships, especially for the operation of two pairs of adjacent covers.According to the invention, the device is made of two cylinders mounted on a support located on deck. The first is a cylinder of force used for the actual operation of the covers; the latter handles the cylinder of force.Both cylinders are located on the side of the deck, at the end of the cargo hatchway, between two pairs of adjacent covers.At the end of the rod of the cylinder of force is a fork that can alternately support one pin mounted on the edge of each cover, so that, after the first pair of covers is lifted and secured, the cylinder of force can go back to its initial position with the help of the handling cylinder.</p> |
