A pneumatic linear motor comprises a hose (5) capable of withstanding relatively high pressures, a rigid open sleeve (31), and a carriage (1) movable in the sleeve (31) and equipped with a device compressing and flattening the said hose (5), so as to form on the latter a restriction leakproof to the fluids present in the hose, and is characterised in that the said device compresses the said hose elastically in such a way that the force exerted by the said device on the said hose (5) is substantially constant and equal to a preselected value over the entire stroke of the pneumatic linear motor.
