The electronic microcircuit card reader comprises:
- a slot housing LG, suitable for at least partially accommodating the said card CM and including a connector CO suitable for interacting with the microcircuit MC of the card, and
- electronic processing means MT linked to the connector CO.
<??>The housing LG is equipped with at least one first high-frequency means acting by induction CA, placed between the slot FE and the connector CO, and the processing means MT include anti-fraud means comprising a second high-frequency means GE acting by conduction, linked to the said connector. One of the first and second high-frequency means is a generator and the other a sensor. Means are also provided for deciding on the validity of the card on the basis of a criterion depending on the signal perceived by the said sensor.
