The ski boot which is put on and taken off by means of rear entry of the foot in the horizontal plane and in which the upper part 12 of the shell 1, surrounding the foot and the front of the shin is rendered integral by means of linking means 14 with a movable assembly of the shell, characterised in that an axis of articulation -16, -16', 23 of the movable assembly 13 of the boot extends above the ankle joint and is carried by a flap which can move between an open and a closed position. <IMAGE>
