The panel has a metal frame (4), attached to a supporting wall (2). It holds a sheet (3) of transparent material, the wall forming the back of the panel. The space formed is filled with loose granules of wood charcoal (1), this material resting on a perforated baffle (8) at the bottom. Cool air is fed (6,7) into the bottom of the panel and is warmed by the heat in the charcoal. This warm air passes through another perforated panel (9) at the top. A fan (11) is connected through the wall and directs the warm air into the building.
