The subject of the present invention is a device for installing and positioning plants. It consists of the combination on the one hand of a positioning element 1 including an internal passage successively flared out at the top and cylindrical or square in the lower part, in which, using known means, the plant is inserted with its root ball 7, the latter taking its place in the lower part whereas the aeriel part 6 of the plant is located in the upwardly flared part 4. On the other hand, of a blowing head 2 equipped with a seal 3 which fits over the positioning element 1 and makes it possible to inject therein air or gas at the moment at which the assembly is located above a hole 8 previously made in the receiving element in which the plant is to be positioned. It is intended to facilitate and automate the planting of plants of all sorts whilst preserving their integrity by virtue of the use of non-mechanical handling means. <IMAGE>
