The stator yoke has numerous pole teeth and is made from a raw piece having an inner cylindrical part and an outer cylindrical part projecting in the same direction as the inner cylindrical part. The inner cylindrical part is cut in the raw piece's axial direction to produce pole teeth of constant pitch. The cutting is performed using a cutting edge lying at an acute angle to the raw piece's axis. The regions between the pole teeth adjacent to the base are deepened by punching out. The raw piece is produced by drawing from a plate made of magnetic material and shaping the inner and outer cylindrical parts. Cutting is accomplished using a punch or cutter.
