Air conditioning for rooms incorporates a vertical flow shaft (1) through whose upper end (2) cooled or uncooled air, or a mix-ture of both, can be selectively supplied. The lower end (7) can be used as an air outlet, and another outlet connection (6) is at a distance from the upper end (2). At the level of the upper outlet connection (6) is a shutter system which directs the air flow either to the upper or to the lower out-let. There are air nozzles (8) either in the shaft (1) or in the outlet connection (6), which can be selectively opened. USE/ADVANTAGE - Flexibility in operation and maximum air change with optimum room cooling.
