The regulator for the water-inflow into the storage container (5) of a fire-extinguishing unit consists of a valve (3) incorporated into the inflow-pipe (1). The valve locking piece in the form of a rotary gate (10) is operated by a lever-arrangement. The rotary gate (10) has a multiple guide-lever arrangement one lever of which is joined to the axle part (16) of the rotary gate (10). The other lever is linked on the valve side to a fixed point or grips over a gear connected on the other side of a single-lever arrangement or the multiple guide-lever arrangement. A float (9) is adjusted by the rise and fall of the water level in the container (5). ' USE/ADVANTAGE - The regulator is compact, strong, maintenance free and economically produced and prevents damage to the valve and fluctuations in the pressure of the public water-mains.
