PURPOSE:To provide a highly sensitive thermal recording material having excellent print preservability such as resistance to water, oils and plasticizers, free of fogging on color development and highly suitable for high-speed recording, by incorporating 4-hydroxy-4'-isopropoxydiphenylsulfone as a color reaction agent and a specified compound as a sensitizer. CONSTITUTION:4-Hydroxy-4'-isopropoxydiphenylsulfone is incorporated as a color reaction agent and at least one compound of general formula [I] is incorporated as a sensitizer, in a thermal recording material which has a thermal recording layer comprising at least a color former and a color reaction agent for performing a color reaction on making contact with the color former. In the formula, X is -O- or -CO-O-, each of R1-R6, which may combine with each other to form an aromatic ring, is hydrogen, a 1-8C alkyl, aryl or aralkyl, and n is an integer of 1-10. |
