Television receiver image width stabilisation - using inductance coil in series with line transformer primary winding

The image width stabilisation method comprises a step of compensation of the time deflection amplitude for the variations in the beam current and the HV supply. A coil (12) is connected in series with the primary winding (2) of the line transformer (1) within the line end stage (6,10). The function between the primary winding (2) and the coil (12) is coupled to a reference potential via a capacitor (13), cooperating with the coil (12) to provide a resonance frequency below the line frequency. Pref. the inductance of the coil (12) is 0.5-75 mH and the capacitance of the capacitor (13) is 430 nF, to obtain a resonance frequency of 10.1 kHz. USE - For television receiver with 110 degree tube.
