Shaft cover levelling with road surface - involves distance rings between cover flange and shaft ring shoulder

The equipment levels the cover(20) of an access shaft to a drain etc underground with the surrounding road surface(26). The cover has an annular flange(18) resting on annular shoulder(22) formed by a step in the shaft top end ring(14). The top surface of the ring is at a lower level than the road surface. One or more inner distance rings(30) are inserted between the shoulder and the cover flange, while a filler boady rests on the top surface of the ring, filling the space between the cover and the surrounding road surface material and flush with both at the top. USE/ADVANTAGE - Easy levelling even of an existing cover for access shaft or drain in roadway.
