The switch has a pair of identical contact switching stages (4,5); one of which is used (5) for power switching and the other (4) for signal indication. The switch operating points depend upon the positions of actuating surfaces (30,32) relative to the contacts. The actuating surfaces are coupled to a centre pin (8) that projects to the end of a temp. sensing element (50). The pin is located with a tube (7) of heat resistant material.
